Baby skin is thin and sensitive – it usually needs little, but consistently.
In everyday life
- Cleaning with plain water is often enough.
- Choose fragrance-free, mild products without added scents.
- Care for dry patches with a thin layer of a rich, moisturising cream.
Sensitive areas
- Let the nappy area dry well after every change, with a barrier cream if there's redness.
- Gently pat skin folds at the neck, in the elbow creases and groin dry on a regular basis.
When it helps to check in
- For weeping, bloody or pus-filled patches.
- For itchy, widespread redness.
- If you're worried: ask your paediatrician, midwife or pharmacist – this is their everyday work.
You know your baby best – observing counts more than the perfect product.
